Laura Reicher, born in 2000 in Landsberg am Lech, is an Austrian pianist who has been awarded numerous national and international prizes and performs regularly across Europe.
Her musical journey began at the age of eight under the guidance of Dr. Maximilian Hofbauer at the Municipal Music School in Landsberg. In 2011, she continued her training with pianist Julia Goldstein. At the age of fifteen, she was accepted as a young student into the Pre-College program at the University of Music in Nuremberg, where she studied with Professor Wolfgang Manz.
In October 2018, she began her undergraduate studies with Professor Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she completed her bachelor’s degree with highest distinction in June 2023. She is currently continuing her master’s degree in solo performance under Professor Gililov’s mentorship. In the 2024/25 season, she is also studying at the Berlin University of the Arts in the class of Professor Björn Lehmann as part of the Erasmus exchange program.


Laura has received multiple prestigious awards, including two first prizes at the German national competition Jugend musiziert in 2014 and 2016, and five prizes at the international competition Münchner Klavierpodium. In 2017, she was honored with a special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Robert Schumann at the International Anton Rubinstein Competition in Düsseldorf and won second prize at the Robert Schumann Competition for Young Pianists in Zwickau. In recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements, she was awarded the Leonhard and Ida Wolf Memorial Prize by the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg in 2018 – an award that is granted only once every two years.
She has performed at international festivals and performed in countries such as Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Poland, Austria and Czech Republic. Highlights include the International Piano Festival Bolzano Bozen, where she was honored for her solo recital at the Palazzo Mercantile; the International Clavicologne Festival at the Mozarteum Salzburg; and the BISMA Piano Academy in Lusławice, Poland. In 2017, she was awarded a full scholarship to participate in the Meisterschüler Meister masterclass at Schloss Neuhardenberg, working closely with cellist Jan Vogler and pianist Antti Siirala.
Laura has received artistic inspiration from renowned pianists and pedagogues, including Robert Levin, Michel Béroff, Dmitri Alexeev, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Sofya Gulyak, Gabriele Baldocci, Christiano Burato, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Vitaly Pisarenko, Aleksandar Serdar, Oliver Schnyder and Avedis Koumoudjian.
In addition to her solo career, Laura is passionately dedicated to chamber music. She has collaborated with distinguished musicians such as Clemens Hagen (Hagen Quartet), Jan Vogler, Mira Wang, and Gregor Sigl (Artemis Quartet), performing in concerts, masterclasses, and festivals.
